Ghosts of the Hatchery

  • Georgetown Steam Plant 6605 13th Avenue South Seattle, Washington, 98108 United States (map)

What happens when a Black scientist returns to an abandoned salmon hatchery—and discovers the ghosts aren't quite ready to let the past go? Ghosts of the Hatchery is a dark eco-comedy about salmon, science, climate change, and haunted institutional memory. A scientist reopening an abandoned salmon hatchery finds herself caught in a Christmas Carol-style haunting, where the past refuses to stay buried.

Join us at Seattle's historic Georgetown Steam Plant for a 90-minute experience featuring a 60-minute show and interactive stations, followed by a 30-minute post-show reception.

Explore salmon art, spooky salmon things, and the strange world of the hatchery before and throughout the show, then stick around afterward for a casual reception, tabling, and continued exploration.
