LEVIATHAN RISING is a site-specific photographic and sound-based installation presented within the historic Georgetown Steam Plant in Seattle, Washington. The installation will feature three chapters from Eirik Johnson’s ongoing project Leviathan including large-scale photographic projections, a multi-track sound piece made from recordings beneath the surface of the Duwamish River, and a series of new daguerreotype photograms made in collaboration with Daniel Carrillo.
The installation is free and open to the public and will premiere the evening of Saturday, May 13 from 6-9 pm in conjunction with Georgetown Art Attack. Open hours will continue Sunday, May 14 from 10am-1pm, Monday, May 15 – Friday, May 19 from 4-8pm, and Saturday, May 20 – Sunday, May 21 from 12-4 pm.
