The Steam Plant is open to the public every second Saturday. Join one of our knowledgeable docents for a free tour or explore the Plant on your own.

Tours are about an hour and leave at 10:30, 11:30, and 12:30. Free parking on site.

We’re very excited and grateful that Xochitl Clare, a marine biologist and performing artist, will be joining our monthly Open Houses to bring ocean poetry to life in real time at the Steam Plant. Using a vintage typewriter, Xochitl creates personalized poetry with you -- inspired by the sea, blending improv theater with creative writing to reflect on themes like the ocean, climate change, and the wonder of marine life.
